Voxel Architects is one of the first metaverse-native architecture studios, committed to designing stunning virtual structures and experiences in the leading virtual worlds. Founded in 2020, and with over 100 projects in their portfolio, Voxel Architects helped artists, brands, and companies such as ConsenSys, Metamask, Sotheby's, Auroboros, Real Vision and Tom Sachs, among many others. Auroboros was looking to create a futuristic concert hall and cyber couture space in Decentraland during the Metaverse Fashion Week event.
Our objective was to construct a visually impactful building that could elegantly complement the client’s identity and the futuristic-styled wearables exhibited in the gallery.

On top of that, the building needed to also function as a stage for Grimes’ closing show, where the Canadian artist had prepared an exclusive DJ set.

Auroboros

The Bitbuzz gallery is one of the first galleries we have built in Decentraland and was commissioned by Steve Wand, a big collector and crypto enthusiast, to showcase his latest NFT collection. The building got a lot of attention because of its particular architectural style, its blocky shape contrasted by the curvy organic lines, both in the exterior and interior. Its design is minimalist, white, with subtle accents of green and yellow to highlight the artworks on the wall. This building was featured on Good Morning America.

BitBuzz

ConsenSys is one of the biggest building in Decentraland, built on a whopping 160 x 160 meters area. Not only that, but is regarded as one of Decentraland's architectural marvels. The building shape it's inspired by the logo of the brand, a spiral extending both horizontally and vertically, on top of which sits a floating bar with a glass floor from where you can see the building in all of its might. In the heart of the building you will find he big open amphitheatre Metamask forest in which the famous Metamask fox is hiding.

ConsenSys HQ

The shape of the building is inspired by the infinite sign which symbolizes eternity. The build is open space, airy; and it follows an indoor-outdoor concept. The exterior shell is white and is covered in glowing stars that you can see at night in Decentraland. The ceiling is  open to allow you to look up to the sky and see a floating planet on top of the building, surrounded by balls of energy. In the main planet, events can be hosted and each surrounding energy ball hosts a 10 piece gallery space.

Infinity Gallery

Early in 2021, Max Stealth Galleries was commissioned by the collector with the same name with the aim of housing his personal art collection. It is a part of the significant NFT art district known as 100x Art, which included other galleries similar to this one. The client chose the moodboard, drawing influence from the well-known Zaha Hadid architecture's curved, sensible, organic forms. The gallery eventually developed its own personality and rose to prominence as one of Decentraland's most valued structures. The facade is reminiscent of Heydar Aliyev, one of Zaha Hadid's most well-known structures, and is matched by the four-story interior's organic lines, which includes a glass elevator and an outstanding atrium space.

Max Stealth Galleries

MCBA is a build commissioned by Ogilvy in New York and its purpose was to tell a story: the story of technological and computational development. The construction is divided into three separate structures, each with a unique design that pieced together, resemble a university campus. The styles were influenced by some of the most recognizable structures of the 20th and 21st centuries, built by well-known architects such IM Pei and Mies van der Rohe. The floating, revolving glass pyramid at the entry and the park with a proudly positioned replica of a computer chip in its center are by far the most remarkable aspects of the construction. Alongside its impressive features, the build also features a server room, classrooms, a library, and a full-sized amphitheatre for hosting events.

MCBA

One of the biggest auction houses in the world wanted to transition in the metaverse.
This building, built at 1:1 scale, is a detailed reproduction of their site in London.

Sotheby’s

TerraZero was commissioned in late 2021 by the company with its same name, and the aim was to serve as the entry point of the company into the Metaverse. The purpose of the build was to serve as an office space, with rental spaces for different tenants and various events. The design keyword for this building was trinity, and every piece design choice as tailored to represent the TerraZero brand identity. The building features an art gallery, 3 floors (for rent to tenants), and a rooftop were parties, and meetings can be hosted. There are no stairs in this building, and the only way to get up is to take the elevator which will guide you through the impressive 40m tall structure.

TerraZero

The Metaverse top club is Unpaired. It was commissioned by Party Degenerates with the intention of becoming the largest club in Decentraland. Unpaired does this with more than 5 distinct clubs, each with their own music, an art gallery, a meeting room, and a massive main stage perched atop a water mirror. Its organic architecture and exterior, which are given life by the lively, dancing sound waves, are by far one of its most outstanding elements. Unpaired will serve as the host of recurring events including well-known DJs and major performers.

Unpaired Club

Tom Sachs: Rocket Factory is a trans-dimensional manufacturing plant. The Rocket Factory uses NFTs to build new NFTs.
Phase II of the Tom Sachs Rocket Factory is on Mars, through Decentraland’s metaverse, where users will go to Mars, pick one of three mining locations and mine martian rocks.

This colossal architectural project features two fifteen-story high towers linked by a glass bridge. 
Inside the Not Fungible Arts Complex, there's a major NFT art gallery that can hold up to a total of 442 artworks.
There's a library at the top of both towers where artists can teach and present their crafts to students. The building also includes a vast meeting space where players can gather up and attend exclusive events.
One of the most iconic features of this building is the double floor glass bridge that links the twin towers together.

Not Fungible Arts Complex

The structure has an ethereal quality to it, like you're in a dream state, with winding hallways and twisted staircases leading to chambers with vibrant colors where famous artworks are hosted. The player is surrounded by purple-hued gardens and hanging foliage along its roads. On the 24 parcel lot, there are two main buildings that are joined by floating cross bridges. The building achieves its ultimate goal, for the player to become engrossed in its mesmerising atmosphere.
